2021-2022 Superintendent Search
The Clear Creek Amana School Board has contracted with Ray and Associates, an Executive Leadership search firm, to assist with the search for the next superintendent of Clear Creek Amana Community Schools. The Board wants you to be informed of the process that will be followed and the opportunities stakeholders will have to offer input to assist in making the best selection possible.
July 21: School Board Appoints Joseph E. Brown, Sr as the Interim Superintendent Effective August 1.
June 22: Clear Creek Amana School Board Moves to Appoint an Interim Superintendent
The Clear Creek Amana Community School District (CCA) will appoint an interim superintendent for the 2021-2022 school year. At the June 21 special meeting, CCA’s contracted search firm, Ray & Associates, presented superintendent applicants to the school board. However, after an in depth review of the process and given the timing of the year, the board elected to postpone the search until fall of 2021. The school board will meet June 30 to review outside interim candidates.
May 12 - May 28, 2021: Superintendent Search Survey
All district stakeholders are invited to provide input to assist in the superintendent search through the Qualities Desired in a Superintendent Survey. The purpose of the input is to determine the top 10 characteristics or skills you believe are important in a superintendent and to provide prospective candidates with information you would like them to know about Clear Creek Amana Community School District and our community. May 19 - May 20, 2021: Meetings with Groups
A total of 9 group meetings will be conducted. They are designed to be inclusive of all district voices, representing our diverse demographics, all school age levels and programs, students, community, employees and community. Persons selected to participate in a group will receive an email invitation on May 17. Participants for employee, community and student focus groups were selected from the sign-up lists. Accommodations were made so everyone that signed up was able to give input for consideration.
A link was shared with all parent/guardians giving the community the opportunity to be considered to participate by an in-person or a virtual discussion moderated by Ray & Associates on May 19/20.
