The purpose of the CCA Battle of the Books competition is to get our students reading. Through Battle of the Books, students are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles. The game format creates interest and excitement in reading. Through the fun and excitement of the competition, students improve reading skills, mature in their choices of reading materials, and acquire a broader knowledge base. The Batte of the Books competition is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students.
