Rob Hruby Will Join CCA High School as Associate Principal for the 2024-2025 School Year

The current High School Dean of Students Mr. Paulson is leaving the High School to be the new principal at CCA's newest elementary school, East Ridge Elementary. Rob Hruby will replace the Dean of Students position as Associate Principal for the 2024-2025 school year, and you can learn more about Rob below:

My career began in Des Moines, where I taught 7th-grade science at Harding Middle School. I then transitioned to the Cedar Rapids Community School District, serving as a learning support facilitator at McKinley Middle School. The year following COVID brought changes, and I had the opportunity to teach virtual second grade. For the past three years, I have served as the middle school principal in the Mid-Prairie Community School District.

I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Northern Iowa. My undergraduate degree is in elementary and middle-level education, with endorsements in science and social studies. I completed my Master's degree in the summer of 2020, focusing on educational leadership with a principalship emphasis.

I have two children in the district: a first grader at Clear Creek Elementary and another who will start preschool this fall. My wife is also an educator in the district. We moved to Tiffin in the summer of 2021 with the goal of providing our kids with great educational opportunities in a supportive and connected district. I am excited to join the district and contribute to maintaining and growing a culture of excellence for all students, staff, and stakeholders.
