CCA Welcomes Lance Pedersen as Head Football Coach

Coach Pedersen will begin his 33rd year of coaching at CCA. Over the past twenty seasons as a head coach, his teams at Mount Vernon and Wilton have compiled a 149-61 overall record. In 2022, he was named IFCA 3A State Coach of the Year as well as CR Gazette area Coach of the Year. He is an Ed Thomas Award winner and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Football Coaches Association.

Coach Pedersen brings with him four state championship experiences (three as a coach and one as a player) and has been a coach or player in 39 state play-off games. He has the honor of being the head coach of two super bowl champions, Jack Cochrane 2023 and 2024 and Tristan Wirfs 2021.

During the summer he is a driver's education instructor and an assistant softball coach at Iowa Valley. He enjoys spending time with his kids, Dominic (22), Dakota (18) and Zavier (14), and loves the outdoors.

"It is my pleasure to be the head football coach of Clear Creek Amana. We have some great challenges ahead of us and with great challenges come great opportunities! I can't wait to get started and I look forward to having the support of the student body, staff, administration and the CCA community. We will work hard to make you proud! We can do this together! GET BETTER TODAY!"
