  • As your elected officials, these leaders dedicate themselves to ethical decision making, service-oriented behavior, tireless advocacy for students, and champions of the success of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District. 

    The Board of Education is responsible for the high-level planning, policy-making and systemic evaluation of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District. The Board approves and acts upon matters required by law, and hires, supervises and evaluates the Superintendent.

    Members of the Clear Creek Amana Board of Education consist of three (3) At Large Directors, and four (4) District Directors that serve a specific geographic area of the District.  A Director district map showing the boundaries of the four (4) districts can be found here.  Directors serve the students and citizens of the school district and they serve four-year terms.

    Meetings

    Regular meetings of the Board of Education are scheduled on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Clear Creek Amana Administration Office at 1486 Highway 6 NW, Oxford. All meeting notices are posted on the district website. The Board of Education serves the public and all of its meetings, including committee meetings, are open to the community. Public attendance and input are encouraged by the Board of Education. Board agendas, minutes and policies may be found through the district website.

    According to Iowa Open Meetings Law, the state law permits the board to go into closed session only to discuss personnel matters, property acquisition, consult with attorneys, etc. These sessions must be posted and all actions must conform with the law.
